Fall 2020 Virtual Quilt Market - Strawberry Honey Fabric and Quilts

 Happy Virtual Quilt Market, Fall 2020!!

 

Whew…what a year guys! And boy is that is the understatement of the century! But here’s my thought…we still have pretty fabric and as long as there is pretty fabric, there is reason for celebration lol. Riley Blake Designs has LOTS and LOTS of new pretty fabric coming out so let the celebration begin!! JJI’m kicking off my part of Fall Quilt Market here at Burlap and Blossom Patterns with my upcoming fabric line with Riley Blake Designs, “Strawberry Honey”!

I gave you all a sneak peek of this line in the Spring when the storyboard was first released, but I’m so excited to now show you all the beautiful fabric itself and the new quilt patterns!

 

This collection is a dream to sew with due to its large florals, tiny bees, small strawberries, quarter-inch ginghams, and blender dots! It just sings of all things picnic. J  The collection includes colors like picnic red, sky aqua, key lime green, creamsicle, and sweet blush pink. Put those colors together, and you have a bright, happy, sunshiney quilt!

 

In February, 2021, I will be posting the free pattern for my pieced version of the classic “Cathedral Windows” design. While the cathedral windows quilt is a classic, this new pattern will allow you to use the traditional piecing method to make a super simple quilt that gives a similar look and feel to the original cathedral windows design. And bonus: It’s 5” square/Riley Blake stacker friendly so you’ll definitely want to stock up on Strawberry Honey Stackers. J

 

Riley Blake will be producing the other new quilt pattern with this fabric collection, “Perfect Day”! This quilt is so much fun to make and features a large, 24 inch block in the center with coordinating sashing and smaller blocks surround it, producing a fun, bright and beautiful medallion layout!

 

And…the “Strawberry Honey” fabric collection also includes a panel! For Fall Quilt Market, I stitched up this fun, 16” pillow cover by cutting out one of the squares from the panel and adding 1.5” squares around the border. Super easy and super fun/cute! J
